This past Saturday, the Moellering siblings reinvented their parents wedding that took place 50 years ago. Everything was as it was on their wedding day, cake, flowers and even 50 notes for every year they have spent together. Here's to many happy years together and more to come! Full Post >

Fall Scarves as Favors

We loved Paige and Jeff's plaid scarves they handed out to guests as favors at their wedding. The scarves came in three different colors and were a great touch to a fall wedding -- a perfect way to keep warm with an evening chill. The couple even wore their a matching pair for their introduction to the reception as the new Mr. and Mrs. Wilber! Full Post >

Autumn Bouquets from the Gardens

Our ever talented Floral Designer Mary Stevens made the most gorgeous fall, garden bouquets for one of our brides this past weekend. Mary and her team used greenery and herbs from the gardens at Fearrington and combined it with beautiful fall flowers and fiddle head ferns. The bouquets were fun and colorful and just perfect for an early fall wedding in the Gardens. We have such an amazing floral design team -- see more of their work here!   Full Post >

When I first met this fun-loving couple I knew they would have a great wedding! Kelly and Noah chose to get married on Friday the 13th -- bad luck some would say, but I think not! They had a gorgeous fall day with perfect weather. They said their "I Do's"  in the gardens with our Herb Garden as the backdrop. The nuptials were followed by a cocktail hour and BBQ style dinner under the Oak trees at the Garden Terrace. A Beautiful day for a gorgeous couple! I wish you only the best Mr. and... Full Post >

On a  tour of the gardens  with a  couple this weekend we bumped into Mary Stevens, our very talented Floral designer. Intimate Wedding in Jenny’s Garden

Last night I had the pleasure of being a part of a very special wedding. With Jenny's garden and the setting sun as a back drop Elizabeth and Scott said "I do" with eight of their closest family and friends. The sweet ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour with champagne and hors d'oeuvres on the Sun Terrace and an intimate dinner in RB's Private Dining Room in the Fearrington House Restaurant. A beautiful evening for a very special couple! I wish only the best for them! Full Post >

This morning my day was made as I entered the flower shop and was greeted by bright coral peonies! Every year I look forward to May when these beauties are blooming in our gardens and most brides use them in their bouquets and centerpieces. To me as a wedding planner, peonies are the ultimate romantic, soft flower for weddings and just plain gorgeous! The coral ones are my favorite; they start off bright and happy and with time turn a pale yellow. Just amazing! Full Post >

Spring Ceremonies at Fearrington

Whether it's an intimate wedding or a larger group our gardens are  the perfect place for an outdoor ceremony! One of my favorite gardens this time of the year in the Dovecote Lawn. The sweet smell of the fragrant blooming wisteria, friendly pops of blooming tulips in the surrounding flower beds and the amazing blooming cherry blossom tree make this site the perfect back drop for a spring ceremony! It's no wonder that Spring is the most magical time of the year to get married! Full Post >
