Whether you are looking for something new to do with your weekend or
you are planning an extended retreat, there is always a good reason
to visit Fearrington Village - from unique annual events in the
Village to unforgettable holiday celebrations at our country inn and
restaurants. Below are some of our favorite annual events; we hope
you'll plan a visit and join us!

Pumpkin Fest
Stroll the village paths and enjoy the spectacular pumpkins
intricately carved by Fearrington’s Gardeners and Chefs, listen to
live Bluegrass, and visit with Belties on the green. The Shops at
Fearrington will be open until 8pm both nights, and The Old Granary
Restaurant will serve family-style dinner from 5pm-8pm. Chatham
Outreach Alliance (CORA) will be accepting canned food donations at
McIntyre’s Books both nights. This event is free and open to the
public. Call (919) 542-2121 for more details. Pumpkin Fest
2010 will take place on Friday, October 29th from 5pm-9pm.

Thanksgiving
Experience a festive Thanksgiving feast and much more at Fearrington
Village! Savor Thanksgiving fare at The Fearrington House or The Old Granary, then spend the
afternoon with family and friends in the Village Center. Enjoy
the festive holiday decorations, appreciate the beauty of fall in
our
gardens, and discover a wealth of holiday gift ideas in our
boutique shops.

The
Fearrington Holiday Market
Inspired by the delightful European Christmas
Markets, our Holiday Market is always the perfect place to find
unique gifts from local artists, outstanding vendors and the shops
at Fearrington in a relaxed setting. Shoppers savor seasonal treats and mulled wine
while browsing and enjoy a festive musical performances.
Free to attend. The 2010 Holiday Market will be held on Saturday,
December 4th and Sunday December 5th.

Christmas
Celebrate the season at Fearrington Village
and make your holiday truly unforgettable. Guests can enjoy a
traditional Christmas Luncheon at The Fearrington House Restaurant,
or stay for an intimate holiday at our five-star country inn. Guests
enjoy award-winning service and cuisine surrounded by beautiful
holiday decorations in a charming country setting like none other.

Holiday
Storytelling with Donald Davis
Join us in The Fearrington Barn each holiday season for storytelling
with our very special guest Donald Davis. Donald has been visiting Fearrington to spin his
tales for over 17 years and is one of the foremost storytellers in the
country. He has been featured at the World's Fair, the Smithsonian
Institution, the National Storytelling Festival, and as guest host on
NPR's "Good Evening.” Instead of admission, we ask that our guests
donate cans of food which will be given to Chatham Outreach Alliance.

The Antiques Show at
Fearrington
During the annual Antiques Show held at
Fearrington,
The Barn plays host to dozens of
outstanding dealers who offer an incredible collection of antiques for
purchase. These dealers, all of
whom guarantee the authenticity of their items, offer 18th-20th century American
and Continental furniture and accessories including southern furniture, folk art, silver,
jewelry, fine carpets, paintings, early tools, porcelains,
architectural pieces and much more. The shows are
presented by nationally recognized antiques show manager Dordy Fontinel.
The 2011 Antiques Show will take place on Saturday, January 29th and
Sunday the 30th. |
The
Fearrington
Folk Art Show
Experience a rare opportunity to meet and purchase artwork from over
30 of the Southeast’s most noted folk artists at the Fearrington
Folk Art Show! Discover a colorful and whimsical collection of folk
art in The Fearrington Barn at this very special annual event. The
Folk Art Show is open to the public. Admission is $5 per person.
The 9th Annual Folk Art Show will be held on Saturday, February 19th
and Sunday the 20th, with a ticketed Private Preview event on
Friday, February 18th.
