At Fearrington House Restaurant, Fearrington Events, Our Farm & Belted Barnyard
Everyone, including our Belties, are thrilled that The Fearrington House's Executive Chef Colin Bedford has been invited back to the TODAY Show in the Big Apple!
Tune in tomorrow (Friday, August 29th) at 9:36am EST to see his segment teaser, followed soon after by him whipping up something delicious in the kitchen.
We "herd" he was cooking up the perfect Fall combination of an open-faced seared steak sandwich on challah bread and butternut squash soup. Don't fret -- the recipe will... Full Post >

These beautiful flowers have caught the attention of many Fearrington guests, including some friendly butterflies! These tall Zinnias were boasting their bright pink petals this week.
The darker pink shades are called Tudor Rose, Violet Queen and Purple Dahlia. The light pink shaded flowers are called Miss Willmott. What sweet names for such pretty flowers!
Take a stroll through Jenny's garden to see these photogenic blooms! Full Post >
Fearrington Weddings, Our Farm & Belted Barnyard
I always love starting the day in our beautiful cutting gardens (thank you Gardener Donna Mears!) and today was even better because I got to share it with an amazing group of women. The charming and talented ladies from Southern Weddings Magazine just happen to be visiting Fearrington for a retreat. We had a casual stroll through the cutting gardens followed by a very informal lesson in bouquet design. It was so interesting to see who picked what – and although they all cut from... Full Post >

One of our favorite things about late summer in the Gardens here at Fearrington is to see the endlessly fascinating combinations of leaf and flower emerge. Colors intensify in the August light, and all the various forms of plants begin to weave together magically! A few combinations that have really caught our eye are Coreopsis 'Moonbeam', Canna 'Bengal Tiger' and 'Color Guard' Yucca at the entrance to The Fearrington Granary.

Fearrington's gardens are filled with vibrant colors, leaf textures and plants of all shapes and sizes! Tucked away in one of our Inn courtyards, there is a pink lily that stands above the rest -- at over five feet tall!
This lilium speciosum rubrum was planted nearly five years and and hit its stride this year, sprouting up to peek above the courtyard fence. Keep an eye out for the pink blooms across from the Fitch Creations Administration Building.

At McIntyre's Books, At The Fearrington House Inn, In Our Gardens
As excited as we are to see visitors at Fearrington out strolling the gardens, we also truly love to have them enjoy the peaceful beauty of Fearrington by just sitting and relaxing in a garden! With that in mind, we have created several new areas in the Village for our guests to unwind. Nearly everyone is familiar with the iconic white Adirondacks in front of The Fearrington House, but now there are two spots in the nearby shade of the Garden Terrace to discover!
Other locations include just... Full Post >
