Rutherford Walk Through

The first Rutherford Close homes have been framed and sheathed! This morning was the perfect time to walk through the homes to do collective troubleshooting and tweaking for the next Rutherford homes. Walking through a space is always a different experience from seeing it on paper, and the walk through always yields improvements, whether its a better place to put the air return or a way to configure a closet for more hanging space. Dressing Flower Buckets for the Season

For winter, we fill our galvanized French flower buckets by the Fearrington House Inn entrance with cheerful small pansies and hardy ivies with very finely cut leaves. This year, we planted multi-hued Pandora’s Box pansies; they are just awash in pastel-toned blooms combining all the radiant shades of a tropical sunrise and are the showiest to come along in quite a while!
