Spicing up the Refreshments

This fiery concoction was created by The Fearrington Granary's own resident mixologist, Talita Mauro. While experimenting with hot peppers from one the Village's gardens, she crafted this perfectly balanced cocktail featuring tequila, Cointreau, mango and orange juice. This creativity is the driving force behind our popular Daily Cocktail Features (ask your server next time you dine at The Fearrington Granary for dinner), which have included the Jalapeno Margarita, the Cantalope Cooler, and... Falling for Pawpaws

Pawpaws -- what can you do with this fruit? That is a good question! Fall menu planning is in full force and one of our flower ladies lights up a curve ball of a Pawpaw. All I know is that in its raw state it is the most nutritious fruit there is, and now it has entered the land of decadent ingredients. This will be on our fall menu, but in what format, who knows! Stay tuned.... - Executive Chef Colin Bedford Full Post >

They say it takes a village…

I am so glad that John Oliver is part of our team! Actually, Reverend Dr. John Oliver is officially the Chief of Chaplains at the VA Medical Center in Durham, but we often get to borrow him on weekends!  We have been extremely lucky to have him perform many weddings here over the years. I have never recommended John to a couple who did not love working with him. You can tell by the smiles on Zara and Robert’s faces during their rehearsal that they have found the right person to marry... Full Post >
